The kingdom of Heaven is like a woman who began mining Bitcoin early on and accumulated a wallet of thousands upon thousands of tokens. She lost interest when the Bitcoin value stayed low and moved on to other projects. Eventually, she upgraded her computer and forgot about the Bitcoin wallet. She decided to simply throw away her entire computer one Wednesday night along with the rest of her garbage. The garbage truck came and took it away to the city dump.
As the years went by, the value of Bitcoin rose and rose until one day, she realized that the once useless hard-drive was now worth millions of dollars. So, she cashed out her 401k and purchased the rights to own the landfill from the city. She spent every spare dollar from her work on shovels, gloves, and everything she needed to find that hard drive. She learned about seismology and ground-penetrating radar just to be able to find that hard-drive.
Digging through a landfill was hard work and although her friends and paid laborers helped her, she often worked alone. She would dig through the night on her weekends just to clear out a section of trash. She became disgusted at how many other people had thrown out family heirlooms, works of art, and other beautiful and valuable things. But nothing was worth more than that hard-drive.
One day as she was dressed in coveralls with thick steel-toed boots and sporting a metal detector, she found it. The old hard-drive just as she remembered it. With her old mp3 songs on it and her family photos but most of all, the Bitcoin wallet. By this point she had realized that her society was wasteful and that the Bitcoin ought to be spent not on enriching herself but on feeding and clothing those who couldn’t afford to throw anything away.
